Callum Sutton
Callum Sutton, the UK singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for his deeply emotive blend of soul, blues, and rock, has released “Give You Something,” the electrifying fourth single from his upcoming album The Union. It’s a track that captures the sound of an artist coming full circle—connecting the wild energy of his youth with the seasoned soul of lived experience.
Written more than a decade ago during his busking days in Canterbury, “Give You Something” was born in Sutton’s early twenties as he soaked up the sounds of T-Bone Walker, Little Milton, and Bob Dylan. Now, years later, it finds its true form: a gospel-infused, groove-heavy, soul-rock number rich with texture, fire, and emotional depth.
“I’m happy with the gospel/old school soul vibe that this tune has,” Sutton says. “Especially during the extended outro where the backing vocals repeat like a mantra, the Hammond B3 takes off like a plane, and the drums and percussion really push the rhythm forward. I feel like I captured the essence of old soul and gospel here—especially with my gospel licks and James Brown-inspired yowls in the lead vocal.”
Recorded at Unity Sound Studios, “Give You Something” features Sutton on vocals, guitar, and harmonica. The track climaxes in a soaring outro that leans hard into gospel harmonies, ecstatic organ swells, and rhythm-driven heat—blending vintage influence with raw, modern intensity.
The single is taken from The Union, a ten-track album curated from more than 150 unreleased songs Sutton has written over the last 12 years. The project is entirely self-produced and arrives this fall alongside a full-length concert film featuring live performances with The Callum Sutton Band.
With previous singles already drawing attention from Good Music Radar, Rising Artists, Music For All, and Edgar Allan Poets, Sutton is carving out a space as a deeply authentic voice with a gift for marrying the grit of roots music with soul-stirring storytelling.
