Avaion - Need Me
The Berlin producer follows his breakout debut with To Make People Happy, a second album inspired by dancefloor unity and the simple joy of human connection.
Berlin-based electronic producer AVAION is stepping into his most ambitious chapter yet. Today, he unveiled “Need Me,” the first taste of his sophomore record To Make People Happy, due January 16, 2026 via Sony Music. It’s a project born from connection — not commerce — and rooted in a single, unpretentious idea: music can bring joy.
The album title itself was sparked by serendipity. While walking through Berlin, AVAION recorded a voice note of two strangers casually affirming why they loved what they do: “to make people happy.” That fleeting moment became the foundation for the record’s ethos. “Need Me” channels that spirit with cinematic builds, intricate sound design, and a sweeping vocal hook that pushes AVAION further into the realm of electronic storytellers who wear emotion as plainly as rhythm.
It’s been a defining year for the producer. His You Are Seen European headline tour sold out across the continent, with fans packing rooms for his 360-degree live sets — intimate, sweaty, euphoric. On record, AVAION has been impossible to pin down stylistically, collaborating with names like Marshmello, Ellie Goulding, and RANI, while also breaking viral ground with “Wacuka” alongside Sofiya Nzau. Each track, no matter the palette, bears his signature: a fusion of melancholia and release that translates equally well to headphones and festival stages.
The upcoming To Make People Happy promises to expand on that reputation. Coated in the energy of the dancefloor yet designed as a deeply personal listening journey, the album follows 2025’s debut Selfreflection — a record that announced AVAION as one of the most singular voices in electronic music. Fans who pre-order will gain access to limited-edition vinyl and CD, merch designed by the artist himself, and early entry to his album release show at Berlin’s Festsaal Kreuzberg on January 23, where he’ll perform the record in its entirety.
The momentum doesn’t stop there. On the very day of announcing the album, AVAION makes his UK live debut, headlining XOYO in London — a milestone that underlines his rapid ascent from underground circles to global recognition.
If Selfreflection was about turning inward, To Make People Happy is AVAION turning outward — shaping the chaos and communion of the dancefloor into a mission statement. Judging by the raw pulse of “Need Me,” he’s not just making people happy. He’s setting himself up for his most transformative year yet.
