Kaytranada is back, and he’s ready to hit the dance floor with a brand new album, Ain’t No Damn Way!, set for release this Friday, August 15. Following his Grammy-nominated 2024 album Timeless, this new full-length promises a return to the Canadian producer’s roots in dance music, with tracks designed to make you move. The first taste of the album arrives tonight at midnight with the release of the lead single, “Space Invader.”
For those who’ve been eagerly anticipating more from the genre-blending artist, Ain’t No Damn Way! is shaping up to be another electrifying project. After the release of Timeless Instrumentals and his collaboration with British pop trio FLO on “The Mood” earlier this year, Kaytranada is poised to further cement his place as one of dance music’s premier artists. The album follows a year of immense success, with Timeless receiving widespread acclaim from outlets like DJ Mag, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone. The latter publication even declared Kaytranada’s innovative sound has “subtly shifted the sound of pop culture.”
