What inspired you to revisit “Just For A Moment” instead of moving on to an entirely new release? Why did you decide to release both an acoustic version and a live version at the same time?
Sophia Galaté: I feel like this song is a slept-on song on my album, and I think it’s always important to highlight your feature artists.
What was it like working with Dende, and what makes your vocal chemistry so natural? Would you and Dende like to collaborate again in the future? What do you look for in a creative collaborator?
Sophia Galaté: This session was so easy! He’s such a fast writer, so I was motivated. I like someone who is open and opinionated at the same time.
You mentioned the song came out of a spontaneous studio session. Can you take us back to that day and how quickly the song came together?
Sophia Galaté: Yes! Actually, I replied to a tweet Dende had posted saying he was looking for a female vocalist. I already knew him, so I texted him and ended up pulling up to the studio. They already had the guitar parts going and the slow ballad vibe.
Your songs often feel deeply personal. How do you decide which stories you’re ready to share with listeners?
Sophia Galaté: Oh, I don’t really decide. I’m pretty open to sharing.
Is there a song in your catalog that you feel represents you best as an artist? Why?
Sophia Galaté: “Intimate Feeling.” It’s the perfect combination of a girl being emotional but also making the right choices for myself and not giving a crap.
You’ve built a strong reputation as a live performer. What do you love most about connecting with audiences in person?
Sophia Galaté: I honestly really like chatting to the audience in between songs. Of course I love singing, but I love those spontaneous, off-the-cuff moments of connection.
How do you stay creatively inspired when you’re between projects?
Sophia Galaté: It’s hard. I honestly struggle with this.

Sophia Galaté: Social media is probably the thing I spend the most time doing—talking to fans or making content.
